Announcement: Outback steakhouse ~ Suncheon!
Outback steakhouse finally opened its doors to the public in our fair city of Suncheon yesterday ~ 31st Oct 2005 @ 3pm. That means no more hour-long drive to Gwangju for anything more than Pizza Hut or Mc Donald's!
Obviously ALL the Americans on our jobsite were fairly excited, considering that they DO NOT have a liking for kimchi... So we made our way there early last night, and were able to get seats at the bar, no problems. Darn, we probably should've come a little later, because the people who came late + lined up got free ribs!
Anyway, on our way out, we received this little something. I am still having trouble figuring out any practical use for this piece of plastic...

Man, I'm salivating just thinking about it.
We still don't have a decent steakhouse here on Jeju...although you can pay big bucks for a nice one at a hotel.
How were the prices?
I think it can work as a stand to hold you book while you eat:) The dumb bell looks just like the right height for resting the book. Go on...try it and let's see whether I'm right:)
G: The steaks are about 20 to 35,000won ~ thereabouts. Ain't bad, because assuming that you're talking about some of them LOTTE and HYATTs in Jeju... seems pretty STEEP there!
Kimcheemonster: Ha ha, I think 1000 calories is a bit of an understatement. The steak will probably rack up the numbers there already.
Edina: I tried that the first time I got it. Didn't work... I'm still wondering if I should just chuck it to a dog for a nibble... :P
Eerrrm...tip of the day...dogs are pretty fussy re what goes into their mouths. I suspect the dog would probably chuck that green contraption right back. Wear a helmut...and do your worst.
