Music: Aegukga (愛國歌/애국가) in the key of ROCK!

If you remember, I blogged about how a band got in trouble by playing a rock version of the Korean national anthem.

As an act of support to the musicians, whom I believe to have had no disrespect towards their country, here is my version of Aegukga (애국가) in the key of Rock.

Click 'HERE'.

Note that I probably could have done a lot more: Progressing into a D-major, and throwing in a few more shredding phrases, or even follow the odd 5/4 - 4/4 timing that the original score calls for... but I believe the bridge I threw in, ala Vinnie Moore should be more than enough for now.

By the way... do pray that I don't get sued since it is copyrighted. ;)

In case you wanted to listen to the original, click 'here'.

Hm...sounds ok. Can hear the melody sticking up bravely amidst the chords. Hehe.. Cool..

And by the way, I've been messing around with the template code of my blog, trying to get it wider. And it turns out wonky. I don't have any idea about codes.

How'd you do yours?

For the upcoming FIFA World Cup, korean rock band has come up with a new cheer song for Dae Han Minguk's Red Devils. "Red Devils: Go West". Based on tunes of Pet Shop Boys' song Go West.

I wonder if that song is copyrighted. Wouldn't the band get sued if it is? Hmm..

Johanna: I wished I could throw drums on there, would sound way cooler. Templates... I just used the standard one from blogger. Width is in one of the definitions right at the beginning of the template...

Antonia: That tells me the Korean rock bands really are quite defiant since Yoon Do Hyun has already gotten into trouble once! *Rubs hands and glees ~ Cool!

wanna add drums? go buy a pirated version of Sonar 5 Producer Edition, then get an audio/MIDI interface, BFD sampled drums and a MIDI keyboard - that is, if you're using PC.

for Mac, it's all built in. Heh. Next time you're back in KL, come over to my place for a recording session.
