Health: Vitamin C drinks
OK, so Mr. Kim from one of our contractor walks into the door this afternoon carrying a big 10 bottle box of Brand-X Vitamin C drink. Apparently its good for you, and you should drink up, because its full of Vitamin C ~1,470mg/bottle to be exact.
Being the cynic that I am of what good this 'extra goodness' can bring you, I checked it out. Sure enough the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) dosage of Vitamin C for optimum reduction of chronic disease risk for nonsmoking men and women is only 120mg/day.
'At high doses (over 1000mg/day), some people can experience gastrointestinal side effects such as stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea and may increase the risk of developing kidney stones'
Quote from: Max Ripped Clinical reference guide
Not all references are accurate, but think what you want, I'm sticking to fruits and vegetables!

Well, It's once reported on news in melbourne that excessive intakes of vitamin C in forms of tablets can lead to cancer. I agree with Vincent that vegetables and fruits are a better source of vitamin C.
